A safe way to remove viruses from a computer without the risk of getting infected


Boot from the Kaspersky Rescue Disk to scan and remove threats from an infected computer without the risk of infecting other files or computers.  Rescue disks also get rid of  viruses that are very difficult to delete.

Download the file and put it onto a CD using software such as IMGBURN.

Sophos also do a similar boot disk.

Panda USB Vaccine

 A free useful application to install on school machine to stop the spread of viruses by USB devices.
The viruses include the Conficker Virus.  The program will disable the autorun command that is used to spread malware/ viruses from one machine to another.
